Reno's most frugal family

On June 13th 2009, the Crum Family was the cover story in the Reno Gazzete Journal’s Living Section as “Reno’s Most Frugal Family”. From nearly a hundred entries, we were chosen to represent what the RGJ though exemplified what frugal living was all about.  We graciously allowed Siobhan McAndrew (reporter) and John Schreiber (photagrapher) into our home for an afternoon to explore how it is that Nadia is able to find all these great deals.

The day after we interviewed with Siobhan, we recieved a phone call from KTVN Channel 2 anchorwoman Kristen Remington who asked if she could do a news piece on Nadia for her Money Watch segment on the Monday News at 5pm. So of course we said yes.

So on Sunday morning, Reno woke up to Meet the Crums, and on Monday evening, Kristen introduced “The Biggest Little City’s Most Frugal Family” with a fantastic piece that really highlighted Nadia’s amazing talent for finding the best deals and steals in Reno.
